Zemora AI SMS - private beta

AI SMS Agents for Follow-Up, Reminders and Reactivation

Text is the channel people actually answer, which is exactly why bad automation is so obvious in it. Zemora AI SMS runs two-way conversations that read the reply, adapt tone to the contact, escalate to a human when it matters, and stop on their own when the answer is no. Currently in private beta with design partners.

What it is

Conversational SMS, not a blast tool

Most SMS tools send. They fire a sequence on a timer and keep going until someone manually stops it. Replies land in an inbox nobody watches, and the third message goes out to a person who already said no in the second – which is how a channel with a 90-something percent open rate becomes the thing customers block.

A Zemora SMS agent runs the conversation instead of the schedule. It reads each reply, works out what the person meant, and responds – which sometimes means answering the question, sometimes means handing to a human, and often means stopping.

Reply handling

What the agent does with a reply

The value is not in sending. It is in what happens after someone writes back.

Escalation is the fourth path. When a contact raises something the agent should not handle alone – a complaint, a pricing negotiation, a question outside its scope – it hands the thread to a person with the conversation history attached, rather than improvising an answer.

Positive

Interest, a question or a request to book. The agent answers, offers times, books the appointment, or transfers to a rep if the question is beyond its brief.

Negative

Not interested, wrong person, bad timing. The sequence stops. Where the reply says “not until Q3”, that timing is captured on the record rather than lost.

Opt-out

STOP, unsubscribe or any equivalent phrasing. Handled automatically and immediately, and honoured across every future campaign, not just the current one.

Use cases

What teams actually run over SMS

Lead follow-up

New leads get a text within minutes rather than a call three hours later. Speed matters more than polish on the first touch, and text is where people reply.

Appointment reminders

Reminders that handle the reply. “Can we move to Thursday?” gets rescheduled in the conversation instead of becoming a voicemail for reception.

Cart recovery

For ecommerce, a conversation about why the cart was abandoned. The example on our home page shows the agent handling a competitor-pricing objection rather than resending a discount code.

Reactivation

Working a dormant customer list without a rep spending a week on it. Contacts who respond get routed to a person; contacts who do not are marked and left alone.

Compliance

A2P 10DLC, TCPA and consent

US business texting runs through A2P 10DLC, the carrier-mandated framework for application-to-person messaging. Unregistered traffic gets filtered or blocked outright, so this is not paperwork you can defer. Zemora is registered, and campaign registration is part of onboarding rather than something you sort out afterwards.

We enforce TCPA-compliant consent flows, automatic STOP and HELP handling, and per-campaign content review before anything sends. Opt-outs are honoured permanently across campaigns.

Integrations

One contact record across channels

SMS conversations sync to HubSpot, Pipedrive, GoHighLevel or a custom CRM, on the same contact record used by voice, email and chat. A lead who ignores a call, replies to a text and then books through the website is one history, not three.

That shared record is also what makes qualification work across channels – a lead half-qualified on a call can be finished over text without asking the same questions twice.

Common questions

AI SMS questions

Is this a bulk sender or a conversation?

A conversation. The agent reads each reply, classifies what the person meant, and decides what to do next - which often means stopping. A sequence that keeps firing after someone said no is how a 90-percent-open-rate channel turns into a blocked number.

How are opt-outs handled?

STOP, unsubscribe and equivalent phrasings are handled automatically and immediately, and honoured across every future campaign rather than just the current one.

Do I need A2P 10DLC registration?

For US business texting, yes - unregistered traffic gets filtered or blocked by carriers. Zemora is registered, and campaign registration is part of onboarding rather than something to sort out afterwards.

What happens when someone asks a question the agent cannot answer?

It hands the thread to a person with the conversation history attached rather than improvising. Complaints, pricing negotiations and anything outside its brief escalate by design.

Can it book and reschedule appointments?

Yes - reminders and reschedule replies are handled in the same thread. See appointment setting.

Does it share data with the voice agent?

Yes. Voice, SMS, email and chat use one contact record, so a lead who ignores a call and replies to a text is one conversation history, not two dead ends.
